The CTF Portal at http://ctf.0x1.jawncon.org/

Rules:

  • A team may not exceed 5 players
  • A team must be diverse; students with paid attendees

  • Curmudgeon Challenge:

You are a team of IT and security practitioners for a consulting company that was called into a customer's site. Their onsite IT manager was in the middle of a data center migration, and after an argument, abruptly quit. What was left was chaos. What is needed are two things: get the systems up and running again as quickly as possible (you're allowed to migrate and retire systems), and to write a report that would determine whether or not what the IT person did was malicious, or if they were in over their head. Your time starts when you get paged, you have one hour to complete the challenge, and 30 minutes to submit your report to the judges at the CTF portal.

  • Each team member is encouraged to register at the Trouble Ticket system here.

  • You may be asking what all, technically, is involved? Here's a list of tech that will be involved, or helpful, or otherwise. Remember, gotta be a little vague :)
